The Waves DEX, a decentralized exchange within the Waves Lite Client, allows you to buy, sell or exchange every asset existing within the Waves Platform.

First of all, download and install the Waves Lite Client.

After you have done so, create a new or import an existing account and find your address at the top of the Lite Client interface.

Remember that exchanging a token on the DEX costs you 0.003 WAVES in transaction fees. You can get some from the Wavesdrop faucet or buy WAVES with Bitcoin from an exchange. Alternatively, you can buy WAVES at a premium directly with a credit card in the Waves Lite Client.

How to trade on the DEX

After you have logged into your account, go to the WAVES Decentralized Exchange Tab and you'll see the following window.

By default, the Exchange shows you the WAVES/BTC pairs.

This screen will show you information about the price évolution of the pairs.

Buy order: Shows you the existing buy order.
Sell order: Shows you the existing buy order.
Trade history: Shows you the lasts matching trades.
Buy Waves: Allows you to make a buy order.
Sell Waves: Allows you to make a sell order.
My Orders: Shows your lasts matching trades.

How to Change the tradable Pairs

to change the pairs, choose the one you want from the favorite pannel on the right or replace the assets name in the text form above by the name of the pair you want.

a scrolling menu will show with the name of all the assets tradable on the DEX.

as you can see some have a green mark on the left, it's to aknownledge you that they have been verified and approved by the community. It gives them more legitimacy.that don't mean that the others don't are tradable or are scam or shitcoin, just that the community don't back it for the moment. For the moment the process of verification is done by the Waves team, in the future it should be done by the WCT holders When the assets don't have a green mark, double check to be SURE that's the ones you want to trade.
